Word By Heart Seminar w/ Malachi Stephenson

Learn how to internalize Scripture and allow God's Word to change you from the inside out!

We're excited to host Malachi Stephenson for a one-day workshop on internalizing God's Word.

This isn't about memorizing Scripture with your mind, but about internalizing Scripture with your heart.

In this seminar you will learn how to take a portion of Scripture, internalize it within, and thus be able to experience God's Word in a deep way and share it with others. You’ll walk with others through a process with the Scripture passage (TBA) that includes learning its context, dramatizing the story, paraphrasing the passage, picturing its scenes, talking-repeating each verse, and reciting it fully.

And lunch will be covered!

United to Worship

We unite to work….

We unite to plan…

We unite to celebrate…

And we unite to protest…

But what about united to worship?

What if our unity in worship would not only heal real wounds, but display to the world around us the power and love of God?

Disciples from Parkside Church and North Valley Baptist Church are uniting together to worship their Father, and you’re invited!

Join us on Friday October 21st at 7pm, for a time of praise, prayer, and community.

We hope to see you there!

Discipleship Training Seminar (Kickstart)

  • North Valley Baptist Church (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

We’re hosting a team from Quebec who be leading a unique and practical 2-day discipleship seminar on December 17th and 18th! The event is free. Take a look at the information below from the organizers.

Come and get trained in living the life of a disciple as displayed in the Book of Acts!

About

You will be trained and activated (kick-started) to step out in faith: healing the sick, preaching the gospel, baptizing in water and in the Holy Spirit, and making disciples. You will receive solid Bible teaching, and will also go out on the streets in small groups to help ‘kickstart’ you.

In the Book of Acts, we read that God was using ordinary people to do extraordinary things. The church was growing fast and believers were being filled with the Holy Spirit. The disciples preached, healed, delivered, and baptized in water and in the Holy Spirit.

The apostle Paul emphasizes the importance of acting in (supernatural) power:

‘My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power.’
(1 Cor. 2:4-5, NIV)

This was the ‘normal Christian life’ for a disciple of Jesus Christ. Is this kind of life still for today? Are we as disciples of Jesus still called to do these same ‘Acts’?

Yes! We believe this is still for today and for every believer who wants to be a disciple of the Lord Jesus.

Olivier Buades, will run the seminar. Torben Sondergaard will not attend this seminar.
